Some days your brain just won't load

Posted 6/8/2026

There's a version of Tuesday that exists outside of time. No particular reason for it. No bad news, no alarm failure, no existential crisis brewing in the background. Just a day that shows up slightly crooked, like a picture frame that refuses to hang straight no matter how many times you adjust it.

Scientists would probably call it something boring like "circadian rhythm disruption" or "suboptimal cortisol response." Regular humans call it feeling like their head got filled with wet cement overnight. Either way, the result is the same. You're technically awake, but nobody's home.

It's not tiredness exactly. It's more like your brain loaded 60% and then just... stopped. Apps are open but nothing's running properly. You could stare at a perfectly normal sentence and read it four times without it meaning anything. Whole words just bounce off.

And then the coffee happens.

Not in a dramatic, slow-motion movie way. More like someone quietly flipped a switch somewhere behind your left ear. The fog lifts. The picture frame straightens itself. Tuesday stops being a strange dimension and starts being an actual day with actual potential. It's less magic and more calibration, like tuning an instrument that was slightly out of key.

That's the thing about coffee that nobody talks about enough. It's not just a drink. It's a daily reset button. A tiny, delicious system reboot that nobody had to install or update.

Edmonton AB

In their own words: “Our mission at Anecdote is to share the stories of everyone involved in the coffee journey. We aim to visit the producer farms and document the coffee process, focusing on the real heroes of our story - the farmers. These individuals have dedicated their lives to coffee cultivation, either through family inheritance or as a means to support their families. We want to ensure that their stories are heard.

While we prepare for these travels, we promise to provide you with the best information about each coffee we source. Our hope is that as the years pass, we can share more and more about the journey of our coffee. We invite you to follow us and join us on this exciting adventure.”
