Clouds are the universe's most dramatic shapeshifters. One second you're staring at a perfect dragon breathing fire across the afternoon sky, and the next it's melted into something that looks suspiciously like a sad sock. Clouds don't care about your timing, your camera settings, or your desperate need to show someone what you just saw. They answer to nobody.

The science people will tell you it's all about wind currents and temperature and evaporation rates. Sure. That's one way to look at it. The more reasonable explanation is that clouds are just deeply committed to messing with people who aren't paying attention. They reward the alert and punish the distracted. Kind of like life, honestly.

People who are sharp, tuned in, and quick to react tend to catch things others miss. They notice the dragon before it dissolves. They're already reaching for their phone while everyone else is still blinking. The difference between catching the moment and missing it completely almost always comes down to how awake you actually are.

Not awake like technically conscious. Awake like fully present, senses fired up, brain actually running at the speed it's supposed to. The kind of awake that doesn't happen by accident and definitely doesn't happen on two hours of sleep and a glass of warm tap water.
