Your neurons are out here doing the absolute most when all you asked them to do was rinse and repeat.
There is something genuinely unhinged about standing in a warm shower, half asleep, and suddenly having a full HD replay of the time you forgot your lines in the second grade play. Nobody asked for that. Your shampoo certainly didn't. And yet, there it is, crystal clear, complete with the face of Mrs. Henderson looking mildly disappointed.
Scientists have a few theories about why this happens. Some say warm water relaxes the brain enough to let random thoughts bubble up from the deep. Others go full mystical and suggest water actually holds memory, which honestly sounds like something someone says right before they try to sell you a crystal. The most likely answer though is far less poetic. Your tired, under-caffeinated brain is just desperately trying to stay conscious while your body goes through the motions on autopilot.
Warm water plus neurons running on empty equals a nostalgia avalanche. Your brain is basically a wet filing cabinet that someone left open, and every random folder from the last thirty years is flying out at once.
The cure, as any reasonable person will tell you, is coffee. Not the sad, watery stuff that smells like regret. Proper coffee. The kind that actually wakes your brain up before it starts replaying your most embarrassing childhood moments in surround sound.

Roaster/Cafe Notes:
Transcend Coffee - https://transcendcoffee.ca/
Edmonton AB
In their own words: “ We’ve been roasting coffee since 2006 and working directly with producers around the world to source coffees we’re proud to serve.
We’re sometimes confused with other businesses that use the word “Transcend” in their name. To keep it simple: we just roast coffee. We’re not affiliated with any other Transcend brands or companies.
Our focus is straightforward — pay producers fairly, roast with care in Edmonton, and help people drink better coffee at home and in our cafés without the snobbery.”
